According to Wellbeing of Women, women make up nearly half of the UK workforce, but many feel forced to reduce their hours at work, pass up promotions and even quit their jobs due to a lack of menopause support.
In fact, menopausal women are the fastest growing demographic in the workforce. According to the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM), nearly 8 out of 10 menopausal women are currently in work.
This is why we have signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge, to take positive action and make sure that everyone who experiences menopause feels supported and informed.
Our Menopause Champion will be a driving force in supporting this initiative and support School-Home Support to create the most inclusive and supportive environment for staff going through the menopause and the perimenopause, the symptoms that occur in the transitional period before the menopause.
