School-Home Support’s ‘Back to School’ Campaign shines a light on the stark differences a new school year brings to children. For some, it marks the start of a new academic year filled with opportunity, while for others, it marks the start of another year marked by lost learning.
Too many children are missing too much of their schooling, significantly affecting their chances in life to attain, achieve and succeed. The reasons children are not attending school are complex, many stem from disadvantage and are rooted in poverty. Inadequate housing, food insecurity and unsupported mental health issues are just three of many barriers to children attending school.
School-Home Support advocates, supports and campaigns to get children back in school and ready to learn. Whatever it takes. Our ‘Back to School’ Campaign will raise awareness of the long term consequences of absence, and call on supporters to join us in taking action. It’s time to get children Back to School for good.
