“I am so happy that I got support, I’m changing and I’m actually enjoying school, never thought that was possible!” – Luke*, a child supported by School-Home Support (SHS)
Join a visionary community of supporters committed to changing the lives of the UK’s most disadvantaged families by making an investment in School-Home Support. We are incredibly grateful to all our Champions for their support and actively encourage new members to join this giving network.
‘I decided to increase my donation to join SHS Champions as I know that my donation will make a direct difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable families. I want every child in the UK to have the same opportunities in life. SHS helps children to get to school and concentrate in class, allowing them to focus on their education, rather than the problems they might be facing at home.’ – Laura, SHS Champion
What SHS will offer you:
- Opportunities to visit the schools at the heart of our work
- Invitations to bespoke events to meet fellow Champions, senior team members and frontline staff delivering the change made possible with your support
- Exclusive updates and a dedicated contact at the charity
How to join:
Commit to a gift of £1,200 per year or £100 per month (for a minimum of three years) to give SHS the sustainable income needed to get more children in school, ready to learn. You can join as part of your company’s matched giving scheme, pay through your payroll, sign up for an individual donation through our website or pay by standing order.
If you would like to join SHS Champions, please contact Reene Pal, Philanthropy Manager, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 020 7426 5006.
Why support School-Home Support?
School-Home Support supports children and families to tackle the underlying barriers to a successful education; improving school attendance and keeping children safe from harm. We simply cannot do this without your support.
Educational inequality starts early. Children from lower income households are less likely to attend school regularly, damaging their ability to find work after school. The vulnerable children and young people SHS works with are more likely to be affected by domestic violence, mental health problems and are more likely to need support because of drug or alcohol abuse problems.
Our donors are committed to levelling the playing field and building brighter futures for children and their families to break the cycle of underachievement and unleash their potential. Read more here.
What will your money fund?
Our generous donors and partners fund essential services which support the running of SHS and directly supports disadvantaged children as evidenced by our high impact.
