Solve your early help dilemma with SHS Pastoral Development Services!

SHS Pastoral Development Services

School-Home Support’s aim is to work with children and families to make the most out of their educational opportunities and improve their life chances. To make this a reality, schools require staff with the skills to provide effective support to children and their families, whether that is in the form of an SHS Practitioner or their own staff.

Schools have been given a lot more responsibility for providing wider support to children and families, with increasingly complex cases to deal with. As well as being highly trained, it is important that designated staff receive appropriate support and guidance.

Our vision is that every child receives the support they need to thrive and achieve. For this to be a reality, we want to extend the reach of our 35 years’ expertise to school staff who have responsibility for the wellbeing of children and families.

This is why we have developed the SHS Pastoral Development Services, a new scheme to provide professional support to staff across the country. Together, we can protect the most vulnerable children and families.

School-Home Support has proven to be the answer to our problems, providing a blended support programme of face-to-face expert supervision, staff briefings, and online materials – including expert guidance in relation to our safeguarding duties. Such high-quality provision has equipped staff, pupils and parents with the tools needed to improve pupil and parent welfare, attendance, engagement and crucially learning and safer working practices.
