We did it! We raised over £30,000 to give families in London a fresh start!
News article from June 15, 2021
We are delighted to announce that we have reached our target for the Champions for Children campaign and raised £30,044!
Our entire match pot of £15,000 was used to double donations from our kind supporters -including The Topinambour Trust. Thank you to everyone who helped our campaign – your generosity can ensure that our Practitioners are able to provide a fresh start to families!
Jaine Stannard, Chief Executive of School-Home Support, said: “This is absolutely incredible news. With a week left we managed to reach our fundraising target. An enormous thank you to each and every person who donated – and an even bigger thank you to The Childhood Trust who doubled every single donation.”
COVID-19 has widened the disadvantage gap for children and young people
Achieving this huge success in the Champions for Children campaign means we can continue to support families in the most deprived communities in London where our Practitioners can make the most difference.
We currently deliver Practitioner services in 33 schools across London in the most deprived boroughs, including:
- Tower Hamlets
- Hackney
- Newham
- Croydon
- Barking & Dagenham.
A huge boost to ensure disadvantaged children and young people have the practical support needed to have their fresh start
School-Home Support Practitioners work with families to identify their needs and develop a plan that will enable them to lead happier and healthier lives, build their resilience, and ultimately enable their children to reach their full potential in school. This fresh start would not be possible without your kind gifts!
