School-Home Support’s Big Give Christmas Challenge is now open and we need your help to raise £50,000 to support families and children who are not able to access their education due to challenges such as mental and physical health, inadequate housing or low self esteem.
This year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge will be open between 12:00 noon Tuesday 28 November and 12:00 noon Tuesday 5 December.
The national attendance crisis in schools is getting worse and the need for support is urgent. 1 in 5 children are missing too much of their schooling, and the rate of persistent absence (attendance below 90%) has doubled since the pandemic. These children are missing weeks, months, even years of their education.
The time is now to reverse this attendance crisis in England. For this week only, all donations will be matched by our kind supporters The Childhood Trust and CIBC, meaning for every pound you donate, we receive two!
School-Home Support looks beyond the classroom to tackle the underlying causes of school absence, and provides support for the whole family to access vital resources, to overcome barriers to learning. Your support will help ensure children are getting the help they need when they need it most.
No matter how big or small, your support through the Big Give Christmas Challenge will have DOUBLE the impact for the children and families we work with.
