Statement on children without laptops being able to go to school

The government have classified children without laptops at home as vulnerable and as such they are able to attend school during the current lockdown. Please do speak with your SHS Practitioner if you have any concerns or questions about what this may mean. 

We have raised the issue of digital poverty since the first lockdown – and have done a lot of work to ensure vulnerable children can continue to learn from home

We also welcome the news about temporary data allowances for mobile phone users on certain networks. This will go some way to ensure children living in digital poverty can continue to learn.
