St Angela’s Ursuline School in Forest Gate raise money for SHS!
News article from March 13, 2017
We would like to say a massive thank you to the year 7 pupils and teachers at St Angela’s Ursuline School, Forest Gate, who managed to raise £263 for School-Home Support over Christmas.
As an Ursuline school, St Angela’s motto is serviam (serve), meaning there is a big emphasis on helping others. Pupils select a local charity to support each advent and lent.
They raised the funds by holding a ‘Christmas Fayre’ where each of the six forms had a different stall and invited the whole school to attend. The stalls included cakes and biscuits; friendship bracelets; nail painting; milkshakes; and hot food including chicken wings and jollof rice. The students also had a non-uniform day where they donated to wear non-uniform.
It sounds like a wonderful day – thank you!
