Since School-Home Support began working in partnership with Sidley Austin LLP, a key aspect of our partnership has been around raising aspirations for children and parents. In early November we ran our third aspiration session together, with children and parents from Tufnell Park Primary School accompanied by their SHS Practitioner, Sandra Ibrisim.

The objective of our aspiration sessions with Sidley is to break down barriers to the City for children and families, and to help them realise the opportunities that exist on their doorstep. The children and parents that visited Sidley’s offices do not get the opportunity to visit the city often, if at all, and have never had the opportunity to visit offices like Sidley’s.

By visiting Sidley’s offices and hearing employees from across all levels of the company talk about their backgrounds and routes to employment, children and parents understand that opportunities are open to them regardless of their own backgrounds.

The feedback from the children and parents who attended shows how valuable the sessions are. Thank you, Sidley!
