“I like that everybody there supported us and believed that nothing could stop us...!”: An aspiration day at Winmark Global

Winmark Global, a C-Suite networking and research company based in London, opened their doors to a group of children and parents from St Matthew’s CE Primary School in Westminster for an aspiration day at their Shepherds Bush offices. Aspiration days show parents the wide variety of roles available in the corporate environment, and open children up to the possibility of a job in a professional firm.
Led by Winmark’s Chief Executive, John Jeffcock, the group met staff around the offices and heard some truly inspiring stories from the volunteers. The Winmark team spoke with one theme – “You can achieve whatever you want”. With anecdotes on the power of letter writing, the royal family and flying jets, the children were not short of questions for each volunteer.
Ending the session with a marketing challenge, the children had the opportunity to taste test and question chocolate quality and branding with thanks to volunteer Eliska Hykova, HR & Operations Executive at Winmark. You can imagine how much this was enjoyed!
Zama, aged 10, said:
“I love that they told us their achievements in life and how they got to do what they always wanted.”
Louise, the school’s SHS Practitioner, said:
“The adults thought it was great for the children to experience a working environment and appreciated how positive the staff were, encouraging the children to believe that you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. I particularly enjoyed watching the children’s eyes light up at the stories and video.”
