Double your donations during The Childhood Trust's Champions for Children campaign
News article from June 8, 2021
From Tuesday 8 to Tuesday 15 June we will be taking part in The Childhood Trust‘s Champions for Children campaign. Every single pound you donate over this period (up until we raise £15,000) will be doubled! So dig deep and do what you can to ensure we can give more families a fresh start.
COVID-19 has made life harder for the families we support
The vulnerable families we support were already struggling before the pandemic. COVID-19 has made their lives so much more difficult – and as a result children are struggling to focus on their education.
Children who are growing up in poverty deserve a fair chance to build a better life after this pandemic – and the key to doing this is through being able to learn.
Our Practitioners can give fresh starts to families
School-Home Support Practitioners ensure families are equipped with the resilience and skills needed to break intergenerational cycles of poverty.
Your donations to the Champions for Children campaign will enable us to continue to deliver our flagship Practitioner Service in 33 schools across London and provide tailored and practical support to the most vulnerable children and young people.
This means we can support people in the most deprived communities and areas where School-Home Support Practitioners can make the most difference.
What can your donation achieve?
Your donations will be matched, doubling your impact.
£20 could buy emergency food for a family in poverty.
£65 could pay for us to make a home visit for a family struggling to cope.
£220 could pay for a Practitioner’s phone for the year to ensure they can make those vital calls to families to ensure children are safe, fed, warm and accessing their education.
£818 could pay for one child to be fully supported by a Practitioner for the year to ensure they are accessing education and get the best start in life.
