The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2018 has begun! Once again, SHS is taking part to raise vital funds for children and families living in poverty, by providing them with essential yet life-changing items through the SHS Welfare Fund.
One donation. Twice the impact.
For one week only, every penny raised (up to £9,700) will be DOUBLED thanks to match-funding from our generous pledgers and The Childhood Trust. With your help, we’re aiming to raise £19,400 – our most ambitious target yet!
If you care about equal opportunities, especially for the UK’s most disadvantaged young people, please donate today. Your donation could help us to engage some of the most vulnerable families we work with. Not only are these items desperately needed, but they also transform mindsets by reminding families that good things can and do happen. This positive experience also encourages families to engage with our practitioners in schools, opening the door to more long-term support.
Donations made to School-Home Support until midday on Tuesday 4th December through the Big Give website will be generously matched, ensuring we can support as many families as possible.
£19,400 would make a vital difference to families struggling this winter. It could provide:
- Winter coats for 970 children and young people
- 129 beds for children and young people without a proper place to sleep.
