Awards for All fund 'Ready for School'

We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All to run ‘Ready for School’ workshops at three primary schools in Bexley. ‘Ready for School’ is a programme of three workshops designed to help support families so that they and their children are ready for their first day at primary school. Parents attending the workshops will be equipped with up to date knowledge, tools and strategies to support their child’s transition to school and future learning.
The gap in attainment between disadvantaged children and their classmates starts before they have even reached school. ‘Ready for School’ will target disadvantaged families in particular, with support from Awards for All to cover the costs of childcare and an interpreter if needed so that no parents need miss out.
