Theory of change
We take impact measurement seriously at School-Home Support – both to ensure we are making the most of funders money, but most importantly to ensure that we are delivering an outstanding service to the children and families we work with.
Take a look at a short one minute video of our previous Chief Executive, Jan Tallis, talking to the Alliance of Useful Evidence about the importance of measuring the effectiveness of services using a theory of change.
We have worked with the New Philanthropy Capital (NPC), a charity think tank, to produce our theory of change for our school practitioner service. The theory of change sits at the heart of everything we do, and helps us to identify the activities that we are delivering and the outcomes that we aim to achieve. This work helped us to clarify the short term impact we have on children and families, whilst also identifying the longer term outcomes for children.
