School-Home Support Practitioners: our flagship service for schools

We offer over 35 years’ experience providing a fully-managed, carefully-tailored service that makes a lasting difference to vulnerable pupils and their families.  Our intervention improves school attendance, behaviour, and attitudes to learning. We respond to the specific needs of your school community and work to achieve improved attendance, better behaviour, and more engaged parents and carers.

The difference we make to schools:

  • Improve low attendance and persistent absence rates
  • Intervene and support hard to reach families, turning around poor engagement in school and learning
  • Provide specialist pastoral support on issues beyond the classroom affecting children’s ability to learn, helping ensure teachers can focus on progress and learning.

Spending pupil premium effectively

We work with our partner schools to support some of the most deprived pupils in England, offering targeted interventions to improve attendance, behaviour, and readiness to learn. SHS services are an effective, evidence-based use of pupil premium funding. We measure the impact of our interventions and produce setting-specific annual reports to evidence the return on investment of your pupil premium budget.

If you’re a school leader interested in SHS services, but your budget is limited, please get in touch.
