Family Support Worker

Location: Bedford Primary School, L20 9LJ

Hours: 35 Hours, 5 days per week, term-time only

Salary: £19,733 – £22,274 per annum

As the Family Support Worker, you will work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework and other activities to promote educational outcomes for disadvantaged children and families.

You will have good experience of working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn, strong abilities in engaging children and their families, and a confident ability to form professional partnerships with children and their families along with experience of transition work.

You will work alongside key school staff in school to promote excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with children and families to promote high levels of attendance and punctuality.

You will have excellent relationship building, creative and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.
