Family Support Worker – Full-time post to be based in schools across Blackpool

Two posts available. Salary starting from £22,438 per annum

The post-holder will work closely with the Local Authority and Schools to deliver targetedcasework and other activities to promote educational outcomes for disadvantaged children,young people and their families. The role’s main focus will be on improving schoolattendance and engagement in learning. This is to be achieved by building a bridge betweenschool and home, including regular home visits and other forms of outreach work. Thesuccessful candidates will work with the whole family to tackle issues which are causing poorschool attendance and exclusions. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Blackpool. Successful candidates will havegood experience of working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child’scapacity to learn, strong abilities in engaging challenging children and their families, and aconfident ability to form professional partnerships with children and their families.
