There are lots of ways to raise money and help us break down barriers to learning for disadvantaged children.
From skydiving to holding a quiz night or hosting your very own ‘bake off’, there are opportunities for everyone; from the risk takers to the biscuit bakers, from the walkers to the talkers.
Why not come together as a school to support SHS? Whether it’s a non-uniform day, a summer fete or a Christmas fayre, there’s lots of ways to have fun together and give the gift of opportunity.
Do you feel happiest in brightly coloured spandex? A sponsored run could be right up your street.
Prefer a more sedate pace? Join us for Charity Walk for Peace in east London on 14 May.
You could use your next special occasion to ‘Celebrate and Donate’. Asking for donations instead of gifts is an inspirational way to mark your special day, and will help fund the amazing work of SHS. That’s definitely something to celebrate!
Why not socialise for a good cause? Get your friends, family or colleagues together for a quiz night, film night, clothes swap, band night or comedy night.
You could sell tickets, collect donations on the night, hold a raffle, or do all of the above to maximise your fundraising.
Finally, there’s a way to raise money without organising anything at all – with Give As You Live. Sign up with them and most major retailers will donate a small percentage of the cost whenever you purchase something online. Now you can fundraise while doing your shopping! No jumping out of planes required.
We appreciate your support, whatever you do, and love hearing about your efforts. Get in touch and let us know how you plan to raise money for children and families, so we can give you a giant thank you!
