SHS relies on the generosity and support of its volunteers and supporters. If SHS stopped fundraising today, then we would have to start closing services within just 6 weeks.

The difference it makes:

One off donations:

  • £3 could pay for an SHS practitioner to be there for when a child or parent needs to tell someone they have a problem.
  • £100 could pay for an SHS practitioner to be in school for a full day where they could work with a number of cases from bullying to domestic violence and from class behavioural problems to substance abuse.
  • £2,000 could pay for the cost to recruit and train an SHS practitioner who would then be able to work directly with as many as 200 vulnerable children, young people and their families each academic year.

Or make it regular:

  • £3 per month could pay for a school uniform for a primary school child whose family can’t afford to buy them one.
  • £10 per month could pay for regular home visits, supporting a child who has to care for their parent or guardian because they’re unable to care for themselves.
  • £25 per month could allow an SHS practitioner to support 3 vulnerable children a year.
